Ian Burke — filmmaker, London
Promo Video is the video production work of Ian Burke — a London-based filmmaker with 20 years of promotional, corporate and event video behind him.

I'm Ian Burke, and Promo Video is what I've called my video production business since I founded it in 2006. Before filmmaking it was music — composing for film and playing professionally — which still shapes the way I edit. I care a lot about how music works with the moving image, and most of our finished films reflect that.
20 years in short-form video
Over the last two decades I've made hundreds of short-form videos for businesses, trade associations, agencies, charities, theatres and musicians. The work sits in three rough areas:
- Promotional video — brand films, product launches, explainers, recruitment films.
- Corporate event coverage — multi-camera filming of conferences, seminars, panels and awards, with highlight reels, speaker interviews and live streaming.
- Long-term client relationships — a handful of agencies and associations I've been producing for year-on-year, some for over a decade.
A selection of people I've worked with
The NHS, HM Treasury, Three mobile, Lego, APCOA, Ravensbourne University, Northampton University, NTS Radio, Aphex Twin, Gary Barlow, Eli & Fur, the Aga Khan Centre, Pi Live (London and Europe, 12 years running), Event Academy, Global Sourcing Association, Speakers Corner, Engie, Cheltenham Festival and Access Pay — plus many more London events, agencies, trade associations, theatres, charities and musicians.
Several of these are long-standing relationships, with some clients I've been producing for year-on-year for over a decade.
360° and VR — Catch Reality
In 2015 I began incorporating 360° video into the work, initially as an add-on for music and event clients. By 2018 it had become a specialism in its own right. In 2023 I split that side of the business into a dedicated studio — Catch Reality — which is now where all 360° production, VR work, dome content and Insta360 Titan / Pro 2 camera hire lives.
Promo Video is the conventional-video side. Catch Reality is the immersive side. Both are run by the same person with the same production team, so projects that need both can be handled as one brief.
How I work
Small, reliable team. Quick turnaround. No account-management layer between you and the person holding the camera. First cut within a week of the shoot. Up to two rounds of revisions. Fixed-price quotes after a 20-minute scoping call.
